class poppy.LetterFAperture(name=None, radius=<Quantity 1. m>, pad_factor=1.5, **kwargs)[source]

Bases: AnalyticOpticalElement

Define a capital letter F aperture. This is sometimes useful for disambiguating pupil orientations. See also AsymmetricParityTestAperture and LetterFOpticalPathDifference.

Parameters:

namestring, optional: Descriptive name. Auto-generated if not provided.
radiusastropy Quantity length or float: Radius of the overall aperture, in meters. Default is 1.0 m.
pad_factorfloat, optional: Factor by which to oversize the wavefront array relative to the pupil diameter. Default is 1.5.
